Dr. Rod Rohrich is a renowned specialist in many different areas of plastic surgery and has been labeled one of the best plastic surgeons in America. Dr. Rohrich has been a guest on many popular T.V. shows such as Good Morning America, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and The View to talk about his distinct skills and miraculous surgeries.
Dr. Rohrich’s education started out at North Dakota State University and University of North Dakota with highest honors. From there, he obtained his medical degree from Baylor University College of Medicine, again graduating with high honors. After completing residencies of general and plastic surgery at The University of Michigan Medical Center, he completed additional training in pediatric plastic surgery at Oxford University in England. As well as the pediatric training, he went on to complete a special hand and microvascular fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. He then joined the Division of Plastic Surgery at UT Southwestern located in Dallas in 1986. All of these educational experiences are what led him to become the expert level surgeon he is today.
With many brilliant surgeries completed, and people transformed through body and mind and being made to feel beautiful and whole again, Dr. Rohrich has been a recipient of numerous prestigious and distinguished service awards. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Dallas Chapter of the American Cancer Society, the March of Dimes/ Save the Children-Dallas Chapter and along with his wife, Dr. Diane L. Gibby, have been Honorary Co-chairs for Dallas for the Children Foundation. This is a foundation that assists underpriviledged children with early childhood development programs.
Dr. Rohrich performs a number of different types of plastic surgeries. The most common include: Face lifts, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation and reconstruction, tummy tucks and liposuction, laser resurfacing, and chemical peels. He also specializes in plastic surgeries involving burn management and medical needs from natural and man made disasters.
Dr. Rohrich was also named as a “Super Doctor” by Texas Monthly magazine. A yearly assessment of regional doctors selected Rohrich in a pool of over 40,000 doctors in Texas based on the question “If you needed medical care, which doctor would you choose?”
