VR Gaming May Not Justify That High-End PC Yet

The end of PC gaming has been prognosticated for over a decade now, and yet it continues on. The first culprit that was supposed to lead to its demise was consoles. The PC gave gamers flexibility that simply was not available at all or was not as common on consoles. One of these is the ability to play mods that fans of particular games develop and release for a given game to enhance its playability. Even when expansions for games are available in the world of consoles, it’s typically in the form of downloadable content that console owners have to pay for. Additionally, with a couple to a few years between generations of consoles, PC owners have been able to stay at the cutting-edge of graphics longer whereas console owners have to wait for the next generation to come out with their enhanced built-in capabilities.

Despite PC sales decreasing overall over the past few years, the sale of PCs specifically for gaming has actually been growing recently. As mobile devices and laptops have begun taking over for common computer tasks, the PC is increasingly being seen as a tool for power users. A PC enables someone to assemble the components they want, such as a high-end video card, that will give them an exceptionally performing gaming system that will beat consoles in graphics and other feature and performance metrics.

Some gamers are buying high-end computers simply to get into the exciting new world of virtual reality (VR) gaming. While there are VR headsets for console gaming as well, a high-end PC gives one the power to really push this technology to its limits. PC gamers who are putting a lot of money into a system purely for VR gaming might want to be cautious. Some developers, such as CCP Games, are backing off production of some VR titles after initially being bullish on the technology. CCP Games is famous for the EVE and EVE Valkyrie titles. Those who are considering buying a cutting-edge PC just to play plenty of VR titles may want to hold off for a few years. It shouldn’t be long before there are enough game titles on the market to justify the expense since this technology requires a fairly powerful video card among other components that need to be up to the task.

Best CPUs for PC gaming 2017

It can be a daunting task getting a good CPU for your gaming PC build, especially with all the options currently in the market. Getting a trusted seller might help you whenever you go to choosing a processor for your PC, but having a little knowledge of what you may not go unrewarded in your hunt. In this article we look at the best affordable quad core you can get out there, the best value for your buck, the best CPU under $100 and of course the all-powerful, no compromise CPU.

Best Quad-Core

Quad-cores are no longer the most efficient build types of CPUs for gaming, with the Octa-core and the 16-core architectures taking the dominant position in the market. However, the quad-cores are still considered decent for performance in gaming, although it might be heartbreaking when assigning it to a 4K video rendering. The Ryzen 3 1200 is the best processor under this category as it fairs pretty well with most HD games and benchmarks.

Best CPU under $100

There is a threshold price for decent gaming processors, but it does not mean it is impossible to own one on a super tight budget. At under $100, you will not find any suitable processors, but clocking at 3.5GHz, the Pentium G4560 sets itself from the bunch.

Best Value for your cash

The AMD Ryzen 5 1600 arguably provides the best value for your money, providing Advanced Multi-Processing for smooth, efficient gaming. It offers real intelligent and is currently the lowest power guzzler running six cores.

Super Processor

The i7 7770k, Clocking at 4.2 GHz redefines gaming and gives excellent VR experience even at 4k resolutions. Rendering is a breeze even for video editing enthusiasts. You are sure to enjoy immersive entertainment, multitasking and meet every command in lightning responsiveness.

From the Super processor i7 to the lower budgeted Pentium, there is a wide range of processors for every need. This variety should not overwhelm anyone, as you can quickly get one that suits your needs.

BioWare Officially Names Secret Project “Dylan”

For several years, gaming giant BioWare has been working on an unknown IP that it code-named “Dylan”. Casey Hudson, executive producer of the BioWare fan and financial hit series Mass Effect, named it as such because they “wanted to make the Bob Dylan of video games—one that would be referenced for years to come.” Well now, Bioware has released a trailer for the new game, and it will be titled “Anthem”.

And it looks slick, too. “Anthem” will be set in a science fiction, futuristic, possibly post-apocalyptic universe, with some tonal similarities to Mass Effect. But they very much diverge from there. Flashes of an overgrown wall, a rough, dark marketplace, and an impressive suite of techno-armor worn by the player, all dominate the sequence, with hard, blaring music and sound. An alien creature stalks in the jungle. The narrator drives home the theme of darkness and danger, with mentions of both the wall and the armor as their last defense against what lurks outside.

There will also be some differences in how the game is structured. BioWare, and parent company Electronic Arts, appear to want to compete on a social gaming platform similar to Destiny from Activision. This is a situation more about cooperative play between real people on a network, rather than the individualized story lines for which Mass Effect and Dragon Age (BioWare’s other popular property) were more known.

The idea is to create a network of friends with whom you go on missions. This draws in more players, especially among younger people. It is a trick genre to break into as many failed MMORPG’s might prove. This is also out of Bioware’s usual realm of games, as deep, intertwined story lines are harder to craft in this sort of gaming platform.

Check out the the first game play trailer here. It shows quite a bit more than the first teaser did, especially about how your armor works and the type of world in which you live.

Omen Gaming PC Released by HP

There are many exciting innovations coming onto the PC gaming market these days. Many of the biggest companies are always trying to outdo each other. This is good news for gamers because this competition usually results in better advancements in PC gaming. HP is a company that took a while before entering the PC gaming market. However, they have released some very solid products that consumers have responded to in a big way. The company is taking a very cautious approach to the products they release. They are definitely preferring to keep their number of products low and their quality very high.

The Omen gaming PC is the latest release by HP. The price of this computer is $900. This is still lower than many of the other gaming PCs that are currently sold on the market. HP believes that price is a huge factor for most consumers when they are determining which gaming PC they are going to buy. Therefore, they wanted to be sure they did not price themselves out of the market. There are various components you can buy for the Omen which can raise the price all the way to $3,000. However, HP wanted people to have several different pricing options to choose from depending on their budget.

The processor for the Omen is very powerful. This allows the Omen to render graphics that are much more beautiful and sophisticated than many of the other gaming PCs that are out there. HP said that it took them quite a while to work out all of the kinks on the Omen. However, the time they spend working on it was worth it. This is according to many early reviews that have been posted by online gamers who were given the Omen to test out. HP has said that there will be various upgrades that gamers will be able to make during the next year. However, more info on the upgrades has not been released.

Acer Launches New Gaming PC

Acer is not one of the computer companies that most people think about when it comes to PC gaming. However, they are trying to change that. They are targeting gamers who do not have thousands of dollars to spend on very expensive PC gaming desktops made by companies like Dell’s Alienware. This is a wise decision because there is a very large percentage of the gaming market that consists of people who do not have that kind of cash to throw around. These budget gamers are always looking for a cheaper PC gaming alternative. Acer has now given it to them in the form of the new Aspire GX-281.

The $800 price tag is dirt cheap for a gaming PC these days. You will also get a lot for your money if you decide to buy it. It has more power than you might expect a gaming PC in this price range to have. Early reviews have raved about the quality of the monitor and the speed of the processor. These are obviously two things that gamers take into great consideration before they plunk down a large amount of money. It remains to be seen how many people will embrace the Aspire GX-281. There have not been enough early reviews of the computer posted online to get an accurate sense of what the public thinks of it.

Acer has a very good track record when it comes to making inexpensive laptops that are very high quality. Gamers are hoping this trait carries over into the way they designed this gaming desktop. However, only time will tell. Acer is doing everything they can to promote this desktop. They are taking out a large amount of ad space online and in print. They also pushed their new gaming PC very heavily at this year’s E3 gaming convention. They definitely want to get the word out to financially challenged gamers that they can have a great experience for less cash.

Alienware to Release New Gaming Desktop

Alienware gaming products are not cheap. Therefore, the people who buy them expect to get a lot for their money. They are usually not disappointed. Alienware has developed a reputation over the years for being able to develop very powerful gaming desktops that are far superior to anything that their competitors are developing at the moment. That tradition will continue with the release of the new Area 51 gaming desktop that will officially go on sale at the end of July. The machine will feature AMD’s 16-core CPU. It will be the first gaming desktop to boast this very powerful processor. This will allow the machine to be able to provide users with a gaming experience that is far beyond any of the other gaming desktops that are currently available on the market.

The Area 51 gaming desktop is sure to solidify Alienware’s position at the very top of the gaming desktop industry. The company is owned by Dell. They have been able to carve out a very successful and lucrative niche by supplying high-end gaming devices to people who are willing to pay top dollar for the ultimate gaming experience. The Area 51 gaming desktop made its debut at the Los Angeles E3 convention. It received rave reviews from the people who were lucky enough to be able to play it.

Dell has not yet revealed what the price will be for the remarkable new machine that they have created. They have already released the Inspiron gaming PC which has a price of $600. Logic would dictate that the Area 51 gaming PC will cost considerably more because it is much more powerful than the Inspiron. Representatives for Alienware and Dell have not given any indication as to when they will reveal what the price will be. The Area 51 model has been in development for three years. There have been many rumors about it during that time. Now gamers will be finally be able to play games with it.

Dell and Alienware Introduce New PC Gaming Systems

The multi-billion dollar video game industry continues to get more competitive with each passing year. There is so much money at stake and many companies want to carve out a share of this very lucrative market. Dell and Alienware are no exception. They have developed a great reputation for designing and producing some of the best PC gaming systems and components that are currently on the market today. Nothing has changed over the years. They still have the same dedication to quality that they have always had. They want PC gamers to have the best experience possible. This means making products that offer outstanding graphics and sound for an affordable price. They have accomplished this once again with the latest offerings that were unveiled at the 2017 E3 video game trade show in Los Angeles.

The product that created the most buzz from both of these companies was their new Inspiron Gaming Desktop which promises to be a game changer in the industry. One of the main things that sets it apart from many of the other gaming desktops that are already on the market is the low price. It will only cost $600 when it eventually goes on sale later this year. Feedback from consumers who had the chance to play games on the PC at the E3 show was overwhelmingly positive. The company is very happy with the response the Inspiron received. However, they said they will be making a few minor changes to the version that was at E3. They did not specifically say what changes they would make.

Dell and Alienware said they will be introducing some new PC gaming components later this year. They are still in the developmental stages and there were no prototypes available to put on display at the E3 show. The components will make playing games on the PC much easier. The companies did not release any more info about what the components will consist of.
