Ms. Baggot’s career background

Deirdre Baggot started her profession in 1997. At that time, she worked as a manager, a clinician, and a resource manager at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She held the position for six years.

In 2003, Ann Arbor, a Michigan based organization appointed her as their business analyst and administrative manager. During her tenure, she received a Lean/Six Sigma certification for her outstanding leadership skills.

After three years, she joined the Cardiac and Vascular Institute where she served as a senior administrator, managing a team of 450 employees. She was in charge of acquisitions, marketing, and payer contracting.

Later on, GE Healthcare Partners in Los Angeles hired her as their senior vice president. The organization tasked her to superintend their healthcare payment system, a project that yielded an annual income of more than $6 million.

Besides increasing GE Healthcare Partners’ annual income, she expanded the organization’s territories to over 11 clinic locations.

At Present, Deirdre Baggot is the principal of Acute Care Episode and a former lead at Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ Bundled Payments for Care Initiative. Baggot has been featured as a keynote speaker in the American Heart Association, Medtronic, and Institute for Healthcare Improvement conferences.

Ms. Baggot’s accolades

Besides her executive roles in prominent healthcare firms, Ms. Baggot has published over 20 journals to spread awareness on apposite healthcare reforms, as well as the healthcare payment system.
